Our analysis of events gives an amazing insight into the inner-workings of the teams who were competing and provides important lessons on what makes for success and how failure can be avoided.

The Power of Positive Self-Belief
‘They Thought It Was All Over – They Were Right!!’ is unique in examining the limiting mindset of England’s Football team and how, by developing a positive approach and winning mentality, England can triumph in Euro 2008 and at the World Cup Finals in South Africa, 2010.

10 Key Areas for Success
Using our combined experience in the fields of coaching, human development and psychology, the authors – Janice Barnett, Ged Palmer and Jo Simpson have examined 10 key areas, where we believe the application of our coaching techniques will empower the England team and its fans to realise their full winning potential.

We are a team of professional coaches and trainers as well as ardent England football fans who shared in the disappointment of our national football team’s performance in the World Cup finals in Germany.

When you read ‘They Thought It Was All Over – They Were Right!!’ you will gain valuable insight and knowledge of how future success is possible for the England Team and the ability to apply this to your sport.

Visualise that future now!………

Soccer City Stadium, Johannesburg, South Africa

Sunday, 11th July, 2010

It was the moment of victory, the moment of truth, the moment which every footballer dreams of, the moment which every England fan had yearned for, THE moment we would all remember for the rest of our lives…!!

Stephen Gerrard, turned away from the flashing scoreboard,
‘England 5-Germany 3’, and fought back the tears of joy. His shot from the penalty spot had just won the World Cup for England.
It was all over!

Like a flash of lightning, his arm jerked forward and up into the African night, pointing to the stars. Then he disappeared as his team-mates, sprinting from the touchline in a wild gallop, buried him in a wriggling ball of frenzied joy. Their screams were just mimes of ecstasy, lost in the roar of the crowd, the roar which boomed and thundered and rolled around the terraces…..

…. John Terry, England Captain, steps up and grasps the Jules Rimet trophy and in one swift motion, raises it aloft as the tickertape bursts behind him in a riot of colour…. The crowd erupts, the roar of 90,000 football fans shaking the very roof of the stadium :

“England, England, England, E-N-G-L-A-N-D!”

We are the Champions ! ………of the World!”

Here’s what others said about this e-book!!

“A great discovery, the read of my year! Let’s hope our sporting teams learn as much as I did. Finally I believe football is coming home”.

Adrian Luscombe-Whyte

“This book should only be available to the England team and supporters-We don’t want everybody else learning from it.”

Steve White

“My smile was an ironic one when I read this book. How many of us have been overwhelmed by expectation and have failed to achieve our full potential. It happens to us all: On the sports field and in the working arena. Well done for producing a good read with a real message about positive aspiration. Looking forward to the next World Cup!”

Shona Gentry

“Your E-book goes much further than the usual analysis of the game. I have learned that if you want to be a successful team you need a completely different approach and your book explains how that can be achieved.”

Chris Henson (ex-professional footballer)
